Milky Way Villas are situated at the secluded Northern end of Lord Howe Island at Settlement Beach.

Milky Way “Belmoreana” Villas are available in one or two bedroom configurations and are ideal for a family group or two couples. Arriving guests will find a complimentary food hamper in their villa. No matter what style of villa you choose, you’ll be all set to enjoy a relaxing tropical holiday at Milky Way Villas on Lord Howe Island.

All villas have a kitchen which includes a full sized stove, full height fridge and a microwave oven. Other facilities include a television, video and ceiling fans. An outdoor dining setting is provided on your private balcony. An adjacent gazebo has a gas barbeque and picnic dining suite for your convenience.

Each bedroom has either a King bed or two large single beds. Ensuite bathrooms are standard feature for all villas in the Milky Way complex. All linen is supplied for bedroom and kitchen use. Beach towels are also provided.

Milky Way “Mooreii” Holiday Villas are only available in a one bedroom configuration. They have a King size bed or large single beds. You have a fully equipped kitchen and equipment similar to that found in the “Belmoreana” villas mentioned above.

Mooreii villas are nestled amidst dense tropical rainforest. That means you will enjoy a feast of birdsong throughout the day and early evening. And nothing quite beats the sound of listening to a short sharp tropical downpour on the myriad palm trees which surround your villa.

Ocean View apartments are an original Lord Howe Island business started more than 100 years ago and are proudly operated by 5th & 6th generation descendants of T.B. & Mary Wilson, who settled on Lord Howe Island in 1876. Ocean View is ideally situated off the main road and is close to many island facilities including restaurants, cafés, general stores, bike hire and the post office. Just 100 metres away you will find the only jetty on the island, lagoon beach for a quiet swim, Old Settlement & Ned’s Beach for great snorkelling & fish feeding. A short climb up the back paddock and you can capture amazing panoramic views of the island & lagoon.

Blue Lagoon Lodge is centrally located, on level ground just 200 metres from the lagoon. A general store is located on the property, and the Post Office and other facilities nearby.

Lodge Facilities ; At Blue Lagoon Lodge all rooms offer the comforts that make a holiday special, such as queen sized beds, TV/DVD, radio, ceiling fans, hairdryer and en suite. All rooms contain a kitchenette which includes a fridge, microwave oven, electric frypan, tea and coffee facilities, cookware and all utensils including cutlery, toaster, kettle, and crockery.Linen, bath towels and beach towels are all provided. A guest laundry is also onsite. Serviced rooms are available on request (additional tariff).

Shady verandahs overlook lush green sub-tropical gardens, the ideal spot for cooking on the undercover gas barbecues located throughout, or simply reading and reviving. For the more energetic, Blue Lagoon Lodge has bike hire available to assist your viewing of the Island. The lodge also has an all-weather tennis court for our guests, as well as billiards and table tennis in our spacious games room. For the not so active, car hire is also available.

Somerset Apartments:

Somerset Lord Howe Apartments are centrally located and are only a short walk from the island’s main attractions, making it an ideal Lord Howe Island accommodation option for those wanting explore the sights.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll to popular Neds Beach where you can hand feed the fish, swim and snorkel; or wander down to the beautiful reef fringed lagoon, where you can swim in the crystal clear water and laze on the white sandy beach.

Lord Howe Island is approximately two hours flying time from Newcastle, Gold Coast, or Port Macquarie with Eastern Air services providing regular flights to service the island.

On arrival, a representative from Somerset Apartments will meet you at the Island’s airport and transfer you to the hotel.

All transfers to restaurant bookings for dinner are also provided by Somerset Apartments as a courtesy service with a shuttle departing at 6.30pm every evening.

Leanda-Lei Apartments:

Studio Units: Each King Studio Apartment has a private balcony backing onto the palm forest. These superior sized units include king or twin beds, a kitchen with gas cook tops and ensuite bathroom.

One Bedroom Apartments: Each of the One Bedroom Apartments offer king or 2 single beds in the bedroom, with separate lounge/kitchen/dining room opening onto to a private courtyard or deck area.

Two Bedroom Apartments:  Spacious apartments with varendah over looking the large front lawn.  These apartments back onto the courtyard area with BBQ facilities and have personal bike racks. Apartments have kitchenette with cooking facilities, microwave, fridge and all cooking utensils. Queen bed in one bedroom with three single beds in the other bedroom.

Leanda-Lei is situated in the heart of the Island and offers courtesy evening meals transfers, bike hire, transit lounge, BBQ facilities, palm studded grounds.

Ebbtide Apartments:

Have three Garden Units that are adjoined, each with a queen and single bed, ideal for either couples, small families or family groups. Screens and landscape design provide privacy between all of the garden units, and each is complimented with their own bbq and garden areas.

Ebbtide provide all linen and beach towels for your stay as well as masks and snorkels, backpacks, beach & rain umbrellas, hairdryers, heaters and laundry facilities. When in season, fruit from our garden is available and guests are invited to help themselves to our vegetable and herb garden. Local fresh fish packs are available too!

They do not have TVs but we do have iPod docking stations, CD players and radios in the rooms as well as a library/transit lounge equipped with board games, LHI guides, a liquor selection and telephone. WiFi is available if you want to connect back to the real world (charges apply!).
